Step 1

First the railing gets removed and any damaged boards get replaced.

Step 2

Next the deck gets sheeted with 5/8″ T&G Plywood.

Step 3

The plywood gets sanded, the joints and knot holes etc. get filled.

Step 4

Then the Duradek gets glued to the plywood with a contact adhesive that is applied to both surfaces.

That’s a long piece of Duradek!   75′

Step 6

With the Duradek all layed in, we start welding the seams with a 700 degree hot air welder. Definitely not for the amateur.  One tiny burn mark or blemish and the deck is ruined.

Step 7

The powder coated “L Trim” is installed to finish off the edge.

Step 8

The stairs and any other details get welded.

The railings have been installed with a polyurethane caulking and stainless steel lag bolts.

Step 10

The deck and railings are done. Nothing left to do but enjoy!
